Save the date! Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov 27. RMAD is hosting its first-ever Turkey-Free Thursday. Details will follow, but the plan is to host a delicious sit-down vegan meal. It’ll be a fundraiser, but more important we’ll be reaching out to the public and building up the animal-friendly community. It will also serve as a kick-off for Fur Free Friday, our traditional day of protest against the fur industry.

Want to help? E-mail Mike or call the RMAD office at 303-449-4422.

Who ya gonna call?? Just about every day the RMAD office gets at least one call from the public about an animal problem. Recent examples:

·         Someone from out of town found a lost dog and needed to know how to reach the humane society.

·         A resident of Lamar wanted to know what to do about the poisoning of pigeons.

·         A Denver resident found a turtle in the street and wanted some resources.

RMAD provided answers to all of these inquiries, and many more. We answer our phones and e-mails most every day, even on weekends. If we’re out, we try to get back to you right away!

Do YOU have questions or concerns? Feel free to e-mail Mike or call the RMAD office at 303-449-4422.

Volunteer Opportunities

THINK GLOBAL Humane Education Speakers: RMAD's THINK GLOBAL Humane Education Program is a network of volunteers who deliver talks to school groups, social clubs, churches and other organizations. Potential speakers will be provided with training (to be offered in both Denver and Boulder). More information and a volunteer form here.

Letter writers: We’ve assembled a team of letter writers to address issues in the local (Colorado) media. As needs arise, we will send out a form e-mail that includes the pertinent media, names and addresses, tips, background information, etc.—making it as easy as possible for you to lend your voice on behalf of animals. To get started, e-mail us at volunteer@rmad.org.
