Some Stuff in Life is Free

Hi! Hi!
I’m Hayduke!!!
I work
in the RMAD office with Mike. You know that RMAD helps all animals –
even cats!
To keep
up the good work, RMAD needs YOU to help with a contribution. There are
thousands of people on this email list, but only a few hundred of you have
made a contribution this year. If you’re one of those hundred or so,
THANKS! (Tail wag, Tail wag).
Now,
for the rest of you…
Nearly
ALL of RMAD’s tiny budget (less than $100,000) comes from donors
– folks like YOU!
Click here to go to the RMAD
donation page now:

Any
amount helps.
If you become a monthly donor, I’ll send you some special treats! You
can also donate by mailing a check or calling the office: 303-449-4422.
Some
Stuff in Life is Free
I’ll
always give you a free tail wag and maybe even a lick or two! Taking me for
a walk is free, but…
It
costs money to keep RMAD going.
Just to
keep the lights on, to keep our internet service, to pay Mike a little
bit…it all costs money. Even this eNews isn’t free.

your support for RMAD and your appreciation for eNews by making a donation.

Rally for Rex
More to come, but not until Oct
The
arraignment trial for accused animal abuser Abby Toll was Fri, June 26th
and several animal activists (human and canine) were there to meet her.

See the
links below for news stories. RMAD encouraged people to show up to the
demo, but it was the pre-arraignment actions that probably had the best
effect. RMADers contacted the District Attorney and encouraged him to NOT
reduce the animal cruelty charge from a felony to a misdemeanor in a plea
bargain.

Because
Toll pled Not Guilty, asked for a jury trial and a change of venue, it is
probable that the DA kept the felony charge and did not offer a
“sweetheart” deal that the accused animal abuser would accept.
To everyone who worked on this for Rex -- GREAT WORK!

Stay
tuned; when Toll goes on trial in October, we’ll have more things to
do!

RMAD Gets More
Electronic
We
recently had an excellent meeting with SuzAnn Brown of LaunchPad
Interactive. With her help, RMAD has made a plan for modernizing
our electronic outreach.
Thanks,
Suzi!

FaceBook,
WordPress, Twitter, Flikr, Covidian, Constant Contact…these are just some of
our options.
Do
YOU have skills
that could help RMAD with changes like these? RMAD needs YOU! Email your
interest, your concerns, your advice to vol-tech@RMAD.org and
we’ll get in touch.
