Fifth Annual Dining Out Day at
WaterCourse Foods
Simply eat at WaterCourse any time during the day and the restaurant will donate a portion of the proceeds to RMAD. The more you eat, the more WaterCourse donates, so visit as many times as your stomach can possibly handle. WaterCourse Foods is located at 837 E. 17 th Ave, Denver. Huge thanks to Dan Landes, Dan Hanley and everyone at the best vegetarian restaurant in Colorado (and beyond!) for making this happen once again.

Joining in on D.O.D. this year are new friends Ahimsa Footwear, located just one-third of a mile from WaterCourse at 1668 Marion St. Ahimsa is the place for 100% cruelty-free shoes and accessories, and they’ll be donating a percentage of the day’s sales to RMAD as well.

Don’t forget: Ryan Andrews has been diligently and skillfully answering your questions about nutrition, health, fitness and more. Check out the latest batch of questions at Ask Ryan!, and be sure to submit yours.

RMAD Calendar Spotlight:

Fur Protest
Saturdays, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Marks Lloyds, 3rd and Columbine, Denver

Four million wild animals are killed in the United States each year by 160,000 part-time trappers who supply pelts to the fashion industry. This number does not include nontarget animals, or "trash kill" (a term for unmarketable animals, such as  domestic dogs and cats, deer, birds, rabbits, raptors, etc). One study found that an average of 10.8 nontarget animals are trapped for each trapped target animal. Please help us put a stop to this!

For additional information call 303-449-4422 or 303-777-4828 M-F and leave a message for Ann, or e-mail Ann.

Also coming up in the RMAD Calendar:

Volunteer Opportunities

Humane education speakers:
RMAD's Humane Education Speakers Bureau is a network of volunteers who deliver talks to school groups, social clubs, churches and other organizations. Potential speakers will be provided with training (to be offered in both Denver and Boulder). You can fill out this form to get started.

Letter writers: We’ve assembled a team of letter writers to address issues in the local ( Colorado) media. As need s arise, we will send out a form e-mail that includes the pertinent media, names and addresses, tips, background information, etc.—making it as easy as possible for you to lend your voice on behalf of animals.

Check out RMAD’s online volunteer form and let us know about yourself and where your interests lie.
