Jack Stoakes
Are you aware that animal abuse is often a precursor of child abuse? Yes
Now that aggravated cruelty to animals is a felony in Colorado, are you in favor of insisting that city attorneys prosecute such cases seriously? Yes
Overpopulation of cats and dogs results in many being killed each year, even here in Boulder. Would you be likely to support a city ordinance to require dog and cat guardians to either spay and neuter their cats and dogs or obtain breeder licenses?
Yes
Would you be likely to support a city
ordinance specifying a maximum amount of time animals are to be tied or chained per day?
Yes
Boulder’s prairie dog ordinance, which
prohibits poisoning of prairie dogs, has
recently been suspended because of concerns that its prohibition against poisoning conflicts with state law. Do you support the City of Boulder’s intention to protect prairie dogs?

Yes.

Comment: "As a pet owner all of my life, I am aware of the overpopulation problem with cats and dogs. I also think there is an overpopulation problem with prairie dogs and we need to figure out a way to address this. I don't have the answer."

If the City of Boulder can outlaw the
poisoning of birds – including pigeons - do you think we should?
Yes
Would you be willing to meet from time to time with representatives of one or more animal-protection groups to discuss their concerns? Yes
