| Are
you aware that animal abuse is often a precursor of child abuse? |
Yes |
Yes |
Yes |
| Now
that aggravated cruelty to animals is a felony in Colorado,
are you in favor of insisting that city attorneys prosecute
such cases seriously? |

Overpopulation
of cats and dogs results in many being killed each year, even
here in Boulder. Would you be likely to support a city ordinance
to require dog and cat guardians to either spay and neuter their
cats and dogs or obtain breeder licenses?
|
In
favor of an ordinance to
require dogs and cats to be neutered or spayed. Isn't sure about
the breeder
licenses.
|
Undecided
all though I lean towards neutering and both my dogs were
neuterer as pups.

Would
you be likely to support a city
ordinance specifying a maximum amount of time animals are to
be tied or chained per day?
|
Yes |
Undecided.
Would look at this more closely if you had some better parameters.

| Boulders
prairie dog ordinance, which prohibits poisoning of prairie
dogs, has recently been suspended because of concerns that its
prohibition against poisoning conflicts with state law. Do you
support the City of Boulders intention to protect prairie
dogs? |
Yes |
I
support the intent but I am a lot more reasonable about the
problems associated with prairie dog management than most on
City Council are. The problem with dealing with one species
is that they don't live in a vacuum so when we concentrate on
that species we create downline problems for other species. |

If
the City of Boulder can outlaw the
poisoning of birds including pigeons - do you think we
should? |
Yes |
I
don't mind outlawing poisoning of animals-never really liked
that
method of animal management.

| Would
you be willing to meet from time to time with representatives
of one or more animal-protection groups to discuss their concerns?
